AccountAbility's contribution to a recently launched prestigious project co-ordinated by the Carnegie UK Trust focuses on the 2006 Energy Review critically examining how the Review was designed, which actors had preferential access to Whitehall, and the formal and informal channels for citizens and civil society to influence the outcome. It maps the missed opportunities to engage in the process and identified opportunities to improve governance and accountability within the decision-making process.
